Captain’s Log: Day 12, CHOP

⁣Last night I was bored and feeling frisky so I tried the cafeteria sushi. Haven’t experienced any ill effects. Will do again.⁣

Ruth decided facing out is much more fun than facing in. Neck strength far superior to most 2.5month old babes. Doing it.⁣

Wes & Co finally got to switch rooms. Gone are the days of the 10’x10′ cell with an insanely loud fan constantly blasting our faces and eardrums, rock hard fold out chair for mom, and no place to store things in the bathroom so all our necessities were in bins on the floor. New room is larger, brighter, more welcoming, calming. There is a sofa that converts to a much comfier bed. There is no closet anywhere. All our things will now be stored on the three tiny shelves in the bathroom. All our bathroom things remain in buckets on the floor. 🤷🏻‍♀️ We’ll call it an upgrade, but just barely. I’ll update tomorrow if we are able to get more sleep in here. 🤞🏻⁣

Ruth continues to sleep and chill like no one would believe unless they’ve seen her. ⁣

Wes is still trying to recover his counts. ANC still zero. Had to have have another blood transfusion today. Hoping he’ll perk up a bit when it’s done. His mood is not his best, but hopefully after the transfusion we can spend some time in the toy room. ⁣

Dad’s fight home from Denmark was cancelled and rescheduled for tomorrow. We’re really really really really looking forward to seeing that sweet sweet man. ⁣

But hey, we’re all still here and that’s what counts. @ CHOP
