The kids are amazing

It’s really remarkable and impossible to overstate just how strong and resilient the kids here are. Some of these kids have been undergoing treatment for years but they are still full of smiles and playfulness. They demonstrate so much natural joy even in the middle of the most terrible ordeals imaginable that it bolsters my hope for Wes, knowing that he can still be a kid – maybe even that his very survival depends on it.
